The Anaheim Ducks have signed free agent left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to a one-year, two-way contract. Jacques has played in 160 games over 6 seasons for the Edmonton Oilers, scoring 9 goals and 8 assists. He has compiled 185 PIMs, including 20 career NHL fighting majors.
According to CapGeek.com, Jacques’ contract is worth $650,000.
Jacques appeared in a career-high 51 games last season and was fifth on the Oilers with 111 hits. He was selected by Edmonton in the 2nd round (68th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
At 6’3″ and 231 pounds, Jacques looks to add some size to the Ducks roster.
