Cam Fowler was happy to get back on the ice to start the 2011-2012 NHL Season.
It was great to be back at the Honda Center for the 2011 Anaheim Ducks Training Camp as the players got on the ice as a squad for the first time since the end of the 2011-2012 season. There was a solid turnout of over 1,000 fans who have all been waiting anxiously for hockey. After a longer-than-wanted offseason, the Ducks were happy to get back on the ice for a practice.

RW Teemu Selanne (NHL.com)
The Anaheim Ducks have announced the signing of star RW Teemu Selanne to a one-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth $4 million.
Selanne, 41, has been taking his time to make a decision while waiting to see how his knee recovered from surgery. (more…)
On Wednesday, September 7th, 2011, the hockey world was shocked by the tragic plane crash that took the lives of almost an entire hockey team. The Yak-42 passenger plane was carrying the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv hockey team to the first game of the 2011-2012 KHL season. Of the 45 players, coaches, team staff, and crew members, only forward Alexander Galimov and crew member Alexander Sizov survived.
Among those who passed away in the accident was defenseman Ruslan “Rusty” Salei, a member of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for nine seasons. Ducks Report reader Lulu (@rollingdux) put together this wonderful video tribute for one of the most beloved players to ever pull on a Ducks sweater… (more…)
