The Anaheim Ducks have announced the signing of defenseman Mathieu Carle to a one-year, two-way contract. Carle was acquired from the Montreal Canadiens last week in exchange for defensive prospect Mark Mitera.

The Ducks have re-signed LW Patrick Maroon to a one-year, two-way contract. In 66 games last season with both the Adirondack Phantoms and the Syracuse Crunch, Maroon scored 26 goals and 30 assists for 56 points, a +5 rating, and 98 penalty minutes.
